May 12, 2014 Storm

On the evening of May 12 several storm systems moved through NE Ohio. At one point several of these converged and idled over Bath Township and Cuyahoga Falls. Approximately 5 inches of rain fell in two hours! Damage was experienced at the headwaters of the watershed and the tributary streams as well as further downstream along the Yellow Creek.

Although there is no way to control Mother Nature and this amount of rain was exceptional, the FOYC believes that by implimenting the best practices of stormwater management, damage as you see in these photos could be reduced.
