The FOYC participates with an informative booth at Fall Into Nature (October). This fun, family oriented event lasts about 3 hours. We need members to staff the booth for 2 hour shifts.
The FOYC hopes to host a native plant sale again during the BBA's Community Garage Sale day on June 9, 2018. We need members to staff the booth for 2-3 hour shifts.
Come play in the water! Several times a year, two groups test the water of Yellow Creek and its tributaries. One analyzes the water for physical quality and changes, the other for signs of life - macroinvertabrates.
Finding ways to get the word out about healthy watersheds is always an issue. This group looks at ways to involve the community and schools.
The FOYC is often contacted to do a presentation at group meetings. These need to be well planned and updated as needed, then presented.
