We also have a high resolution map. It is a large .pdf file (6.3 meg.), so it may take a few minutes to download.

Stream Naming
Yellow Creek and North Fork of Yellow Creek are the only two streams in our watershed with official U. S. Geological Service names. The Friends of Yellow Creek believe that stream names can make us more aware of our beautiful creek and its tributaries. We have begun a stream naming project.
Since the beginning of 2010, our group has been reviewing maps, searching historical records, and requesting information from organizations about existing stream names. So far we have obtained information from the U.S. Geological Survey, Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Summit County, Summit County Engineer’s Office, Metro Parks System, and Bath Township Museum’s historical maps.
Additionally we have interviewed a number of residents, especially long-term residents, in the area. Here is our map page showing what we have, so far. If you know of stream names that we have missed, please contact Ron at namesgrp@juno.com.
The existing Summit County Engineer's map has a more complete set of stream names than does the U. S. Geological Service. Still, we have discovered names for a number of Yellow Creek's tributaries that are not included on the Summit County map. We have begun the process of recommending that those names be added to the Engineer's map.
